Acupuncture for Jet Lag
As a newcomer to Jersey City, I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to find an acupuncture clinic that I liked as much as my old haunt in Brooklyn. But I've been seeing Panos for a few months now for calf/ankle pain and general relaxation/stress management, and I can confidently report that he's one of the best practitioners I've met in my ~10 years of getting acupuncture in the NYC area. His needling technique is incredibly fast and pretty much painless (to me). I also really appreciate that in addition to acupuncture, Panos incorporates cupping and manual therapy into my treatments.
Bonus-- the clinic is beautiful and calming, and the comfortable heated tables are perfect for napping. I always leave my appointment floating on a cloud! -MS on Yelp
After following the opening of Acuworx on social media I was excited to finally visit. As an appreciator of beautiful spaces one of the first things I noticed was the well curated design and welcoming atmosphere. The open and airy loft exuding a sense of calm and I immediately started to relax. Greeted by Panos, the owner, I was offered a cup a tea while I waited in the lounge area for my treatment. Having been to acupuncture appointments before that felt clinical and sterile, Acuworx offered just the opposite.
Before my treatment, Panos took the time to explain his process and how he had come to open the space. After sharing my challenges of dealing with jet lag, seasonal allergies and migraines and how I only tend to use natural approaches to deal with these issues, he gave me more insight on the benefits of consistent acupuncture treatments and a variety of herbal medicine options to use in between treatments.
My treatment lasted about an hour and afterwards I felt refreshed. For days later, my headaches subsided and cut back on allergy meds. I highly suggest visiting Acuworx and I will be definitely be stopping by here again to get 'realigned'! -KB
